These week to 10 day long programs are many and diverse. They
are offered repeatedly throughout the year and focus on all types of
leaders.
Other Resources
These include recommendations for specific books and other readings,
various activities, as well as specific NASA and non-NASA training
courses such as those at universities.
While the Framework
described below groups recommendations by leadership role
and time in a role, each of the recommendations derived
from the Other Resources Page are grouped
by one
of the 39 specific skills of the NASA Leadership Model. So if you want to develop a specific skill such as negotiating, you should look
in Other Resources under that skill.
Guidelines
for Leadership Development
The
NASA Leadership Development Framework is a set of guidelines, requirements and recommendations for the
development of the skills and knowledge required for the four types of
leadership roles in NASA. The Framework describes the recommendations
by role and by time in a role. The Framework is based on the NASA Leadership
Model. The
recommendations include specific NASA courses, experiences to participate
in, as well as general recommendations about types of non-NASA courses
and readings.
